PANI UM Sports Carnival 2025 Concludes Successfully at IWK Eco Park, Pantai Dalam
Celebrating Unity and Sportsmanship Among UM Indian Alumni
The PANI UM Sports Carnival 2025 concluded successfully at IWK Eco Park, Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur, bringing together approximately 300 University of Malaya Indian alumni along with their families and friends. The one-day event was filled with energy, camaraderie and a strong sense of alumni pride reinforcing the enduring bond within the UM Indian community.

The carnival served as a platform for alumni from different generations to reconnect, promote healthy lifestyles and celebrate unity through sports and shared experiences.

Football 9-a-Side Takes Centre Stage
Football 9-a-side was one of the main highlights of the carnival attracting strong participation and enthusiastic support from spectators.
Football 9s Over 40 Category
- Champion: Athiradi Veteran FC
- Runner-Up: 3rd Tigers
- 2nd Runner-Up: Duda FC
Football 9s Under 39 Category
- Champion: UM Boys
- Runner-Up: Senju FC
- 3rd Place: Santai FC
The matches showcased competitive spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship making football a major crowd favourite throughout the day.

Badminton, Fun Run and Pickleball Add to the Excitement
Beyond football, participants actively engaged in badminton and a fun run, encouraging inclusive participation for all age groups. A special highlight was the introduction of Pickleball, which received overwhelming support and positive feedback from attendees. Its successful debut added a fresh and exciting dimension to the carnival and is expected to be a regular feature in future events.

Strong Leadership and Community Support
The Carnival Director, Mr. S. Prasad Money Raj expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all University of Malaya alumni for their unconditional support and enthusiastic participation.
